What it does

Everything a tank needs, in one app

Freshwater, planted, shrimp, brackish, saltwater and reef. Add as many tanks as you keep; each one gets a health score and a Tank Advisor that says what to do next.

Water test log with charts

Thirteen parameters, from pH to phosphate, charted against the healthy range for your tank type. Readings outside the range are flagged and explained.

Reminders that fire

Recurring tasks for water changes, filter cleaning, testing, dosing and feeding. A notification at the hour you choose, with Mark done built in.

200 species with care sheets

114 fish, 30 shrimp, snails and other invertebrates, 32 plants and 24 corals. Temperature, pH, hardness, minimum tank size, diet and temperament for each.

Compatibility checker

Predator and prey pairs, aggressive species and clashing temperature or pH ranges, each flagged with a plain-language reason before you buy.

Guides and doctors

19 care guides, a Fish Disease Guide that matches what you see to common diseases, and a Plant Doctor that works from the symptoms you tick.

Calculators for the chores

Tank volume from dimensions, water change, stocking, dosing and a nitrate reducer, in litres or US gallons and °C or °F.

Water

Water tests become trends

Log a reading in a few taps. AquaKeeper draws it against the healthy range for your tank type, flags what is off, and the tank's health score tells you what to do about it.

  • pH, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, GH, KH, TDS and temperature, plus salinity, calcium, magnesium, alkalinity and phosphate for marine and reef tanks
  • Healthy ranges for freshwater, planted, shrimp, brackish, saltwater and reef tanks, drawn on every chart
  • A note on any test, so the water change or the new fish is next to the number it explains
  • One health score per tank, with Tank Advisor insights that turn a bad reading into the next step

Maintenance

Reminders that fit your routine

Set up each chore once. AquaKeeper schedules it, reminds you at the hour you choose and lets you tick it off from the notification itself.

  • Templates for water changes, filter cleaning, testing, plant trimming, dosing and feeding, or your own schedule
  • Reminders survive a restart of the phone and never need a server
  • Feeding and dosing routines, a cycling tracker for new tanks and a progress photo gallery
  • Every completed task lands in the tank's journal automatically

Species database

200 species, with the numbers that matter

Search by name, filter by type and water, save favourites and compare up to three side by side. Add livestock to a tank and keep an eye on its stocking level. A few examples, straight from the app:

Questions

Frequently asked

Does AquaKeeper work offline?

Yes. Logging, reminders, the species database, guides and calculators all work without a connection. Only the ads need one.

Do I need an account?

No. There is nothing to sign up for. Your data is stored on your phone, and you can export a backup at any time.

Which kinds of tanks does it support?

Freshwater, planted, shrimp, brackish, saltwater and reef. Each type has its own healthy ranges, and marine tanks get salinity, calcium, magnesium, alkalinity and phosphate on top of the freshwater parameters.

How do the reminders work?

Each task has a schedule and a time of day. AquaKeeper sets an alarm on the phone for it, so the notification arrives even when the app is closed, and you can mark the task done from the notification. Reminders are rescheduled after a restart.

Can I move my data to a new phone?

Yes. Export a backup from Settings, move the text to the new phone, and restore it there. Everything comes across: tanks, readings, tasks, livestock, journal and settings.

Is there an iPhone version?

It is in the works. AquaKeeper is built with Compose Multiplatform, so the same app is coming to the App Store; the Android version is first. Your backup will move across when it does.

Is it free?

Yes. AquaKeeper is free and supported by ads. There is no subscription and no limit on the number of tanks.

Keep every tank in one place
